Magic
Splash Attack
"Make It Rain"Element: Non-Elemental
Max Hits: 1 per upgrade level (max 7)
Damage/Hit: Base Magic Damage x 0.5
Use / to perform. Cubes of gold rain down from the sky to in front of the character in sets of four. Each set of four cubes is accompanied by a fly by of an over sized Golden Whale that swoops in from the top. Knocks enemies over and damages them (and can only hit an enemy that is knocked over once, no matter how many gold blocks or whales there are (bosses are an exception, seeing as they cannot be knocked over (exceptions for enemy minibosses e.g. Conehead Groom))).
Magic Projectile
"Tears of a Pansy"Element: Non-Elemental
Damage: Base Magic Damage
Use / to perform. A double beam of tears quickly shoot from Hatty Hattington's eyes as projectiles towards enemies.
Air Projectile
"Gem"Element: Non-Elemental
Damage: Base Magic Damage
Use , / , to perform. Hatty Hattington, as well as Bear and Saracen, have a unique Air Projectile that is different to the rest of their move set. After pressing the buttons Hatty Hattington will throw a giant green gem to the ground, doing identical Magic Projectile-tier damage. When used in the air, it falls at a 60° angle rather than a 45° angle like most other projectiles, which only makes it more effective, because it will hit enemies that stand close to you where you can't hit them with projectiles at Magic Jump height. With Air Projectiles, those enemies will be no big deal at all, and that makes Spellweaving very useful for doing Insane Mode alone without taking damage at all.
Elemental Infusion
"Armor Pierce"Element: Non-Elemental
Damage: Base Magic Damage^2 + Base Melee Damage^2
Use / to perform. This attack pierces armor, and it deals two times normal damage. That means it deals as much damage to a Barbarian or Thief on Normal Mode as it does to a Stove Face or Brute on Insane Mode.
Magic Jump
"Delicate Fairy Jump"Element: Non-Elemental
Damage: Base Magic Damage
Use / to perform. Grows a pair of white feather wings and leaps up with an effect that damages overlapped enemies.
Tips
- Hatty's Magic Projectile is faster than others.
- Use Hatty to spellweave against tough fights such as in Desert and Wizard Castle Interior.

Trivia
- Hatty has the longest Splash Attack delay of any character in the game.
- Hatty's Magic has references to his game of origin: BattleBlock Theater. The golden whale can be seen in the opening cutscene and a special arena mode called "Gold Grab", gems are collected to complete levels, and wings are a power-up item that temporarily grants the ability to fly.
- Hatty Hattington is the only character who has four unlock conditions, which are console-dependent.
- Hatty Hattington and the Alien are the only two characters in Castle Crashers to have originally come from different games.
- In the select screen of Arena, what should appear as Hatty Hattington's head appears as the head of the Blacksmith.
- There is a rare glitch on the Remastered Edition where Hatty Hattington's starting weapon is the Skinny Sword, however you can purchase him again on another account and use a cheating method to get the Emerald Sword, his actual starting weapon. Sadly if this glitch occurs on Switch Edition, nothing can be done and the Emerald Sword cannot be used by that account.
